What are the responsibilities of Aircraft Dispatcher

Aircraft Dispatchers are responsible for important aspects of flight planning including routing, weather forecasting, aircraft performance, cargo and passenger loading, fuel calculations, and aircrew and aircraft scheduling.  These professionals typically work in a flight operations center and perform flight following to provide assistance to pilots if weather conditions or other criteria necessitate route changes.
